Exhibit · Ethnography section
Weaving tools and cooperage
The tools of the crafts that sustained the village, from the spinning distaff to barrel staves.
This room brings together the tools of two essential village crafts: weaving and cooperage. Spinning distaffs, reels and wool combs sit next to drawknives and stave patterns.
All of them were used in Baia households and show how almost everything a home needed was made by hand, from wood and wool.
