Embroidered towels and woven bags
Homemade textiles with geometric and animal motifs, part of the dowry of Baia families.
The towels adorned icons, windows and festive tables, while the woven bags accompanied people to the fields, the market and the church. The patterns combine geometric motifs with stylised animal figures, each with its own meaning in village life.
The pieces on display are over a hundred years old and come from local donations.
